Job summary

D&V Philippines seeks a Director of Client Accounting & Advisory (US) to own the client accounting function from close to delivery. This is a hands-on leadership role, not a junior back-office position, accountable for month-end close, client communication, and actionable financial insights across multiple US engagements.

The role requires supervising the accounting team, maintaining SOPs, and driving process improvements in QuickBooks Online and reporting. You will interact with U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or similar field is required.
• 7+ years progressive accounting experience with multi-client exposure.
• Experience serving multiple U.S. clients in public-accounting, outsourced-accounting, CAS, or fractional-controller environments.
• Prior experience with a U.S. CPA firm and direct responsibility for client relationships.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP for privately held service businesses.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly and quarterly close calendar across the client portfolio and ensure completeness and timeliness.
• Perform final review of reconciliations, balance-sheet workpapers, journal entries, financial statements, and schedules.
• Identify unusual balances, errors, cash-flow concerns, margin changes, and other actionable matters.
• Resolve routine accounting issues independently and document conclusions clearly.
• Prepare and deliver monthly/quarterly financial statements, management commentary, and client responses without the owner as intermediary.
• Explain month-end results to clients in clear business language, highlighting changes and actions needed.
• Own routine client communication related to close, reporting, payroll, and follow-up items.
• Supervise, coach, and review work of accounting staff.
