Schedule: Monday to Friday (6:00AM - 3:00PM PHT)
What are we looking for?
- 3+ years of hands-on digital tagging, analytics implementation, tag management, MarTech, AdTech or customer data platform implementation experience.
- Strong practical knowledge of Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4, event measurement, data layer design, custom events, triggers, variables, sequencing and version control.
- Experience implementing marketing, analytics, advertising, affiliate, identity and conversion pixels across high-traffic web environments.
- Ability to define and maintain data layer specifications, event naming standards, payload schemas and destination mapping documentation.
- Confident use of browser developer tools, tag/debug consoles, network inspection, payload validation and destination-side QA processes.
- Advanced JavaScript literacy and the ability to work with engineering teams on front-end tracking hooks, custom events and implementation troubleshooting.
- Understanding of Core Web Vitals and the performance impact of third-party scripts, asynchronous loading, duplicate tags and heavy client-side execution.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting capability, with the ability to investigate discrepancies across tag firing, consent state, analytics reports, data warehouse outputs and vendor platforms.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery, Jira workflows, release notes, testing evidence, rollback planning and controlled production deployment.
- Strong written and verbal communication, including the ability to prepare clear implementation documentation, standards, release notes and stakeholder guidance.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with server-side tagging, including server-side Google Tag Manager or equivalent event collection architectures.
- Experience with Customer Data Platforms such as Segment, or similar, including source configuration, destinations, identity handling and event validation.
- Familiarity with Australian Privacy Principles, GDPR, CCPA and practical privacy controls for digital measurement and advertising technology.
- Publishing, high-traffic media, ecommerce, subscription, affiliate or advertising-funded digital environment experience.
- Working knowledge of SQL, Power BI or equivalent data platforms used to validate downstream event delivery and reporting accuracy.
- Experience with automated testing, monitoring or tag audit tooling to detect duplicate tags, broken pixels, orphaned scripts, latency and data leakage.
What will you do?
Supporting & Interacting
- Builds strong working relationships with Product and Engineering stakeholders, based on clear ownership, evidence and accountable delivery.
- Acts as an escalation point for tagging and pixel implementation issues that affect reporting accuracy, campaign delivery, audience activation or event measurement.
- Supports enablement by documenting standards, explaining event schemas, and helping teams understand how tagging decisions affect analytics, privacy, site performance and downstream data quality.
Analysing & Interpreting
- Assesses tagging requests for completeness, business purpose, data layer requirements, consent category, vendor destination, sequencing dependencies, payload quality and performance impact.
- Uses evidence from browser developer tools, tag debuggers, network waterfalls, consent state, internal tag management system records, analytics reports and warehouse outputs to diagnose discrepancies and validate fixes.
- Quantifies implementation risk, data quality impact and site performance cost before new tags or material tag changes are released.
Organising & Executing
- Designs, deploys and maintains tags, triggers and variables across Google Tag Manager, server-side tagging patterns and approved vendor or CDP libraries, including Segment or similar platforms.
- Builds and maintains standardised data layer and event specifications in collaboration with product stakeholders.
- Implements third-party marketing, advertising, affiliate, identity and conversion pixels, including Meta, Google Ads and vendor-specific integrations, with strict payload validation.
- Ensures tagging behaviour aligns with applicable privacy obligations, including consent, data minimisation, purpose limitation and approved vendor use.
- Maintains accurate tag management records within Beacon for tag ownership, consent category, firing logic, destination mapping, review date, testing evidence and retirement status.
- Conducts pre and post-release testing using browser developer tools, tag debugger consoles, network inspection and destination-side validation.
- Monitors the impact of client-side tagging on Core Web Vitals, especially INP, LCP and CLS, and recommends server-side, deferred or consolidated approaches where appropriate.
- Audits web properties for orphaned tags, duplicate events, unconsented tracking, data leakage, sequencing issues and degraded performance.
- Ensures Google Analytics 4, Segment, and other downstream platforms receive complete, consistent and uncorrupted event payloads.
- Partners with Data Engineering and product stakeholders to resolve reporting discrepancies caused by event naming, payload, consent or implementation issues.
- Embeds tagging requirements, QA evidence and release controls into agile delivery cycles, Jira workflows and approved deployment paths.
- Documents tagging logic, event naming dictionaries, vendor integration workflows, rollback steps and implementation standards so they remain maintainable over time.
