Job summary

Curran Daly & Associates is seeking an experienced Demand Planning Specialist to generate and manage demand for branded products through consumer and digital marketing initiatives. You will develop monthly demand forecasts for Sales and Operations Planning and collaborate with sales, marketing, logistics, purchasing, and manufacturing to balance supply and demand.

The role requires 3+ years in demand planning/forecasting within Pharma, Food, Cosmetics, or industrial sectors, with strong Excel

Basic Function

Responsible for the generation and management of demand for all branded products through consumer and digital marketing initiatives and programs. Develop demand plans for use in sales, operations, and supply planning. Interact with sales, marketing, logistics, purchasing, and manufacturing operations to facilitate the planning, execution, and monitoring of the plan.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan and implement demand generation programs and activities using consumer and digital marketing channels to achieve revenue and profitability targets.

• Develop the aggregate demand plan and supporting assumptions based on marketing forecasts on a monthly basis for sales and operations planning.

• Develop, document, update, and challenge the factors and assumptions supporting the demand plan.

• Assist sales, marketing, logistics, purchasing, and manufacturing operations in preparing for demand consensus review meetings and Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings.

• Develop product mix forecasts as input for supply planning based on the aggregate demand plan.

• Develop demand plans for new products and/or new markets, collaborating with product and marketing managers.

• Establish, maintain, and utilize forecasting and communication tools for planning activities.

• Assist in developing marketing and manufacturing strategies and objectives, including customer service goals, inventory targets, lead time objectives, and decision points for managing change.

• Monitor demand plan performance, provide detailed inputs for review meetings, and measure overall actual versus planned performance.

• Serve as the daily point of contact for supply planning to manage changes and balance supply and demand.

• Assist in resolving issues involving order promising, inventory level deviations, safety stock utilization, and delivery difficulties.

• Perform other related assignments as required.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of strong demand planning and forecasting experience in industries such as Pharmaceutical, Food, Cosmetics, or Industrial Selling.

Skills & Abilities:

• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.

• Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
