Job summary

LegalMatch is seeking a DevOps Manager to lead our Engineering team in Cebu City, Philippines. You will shape the technical direction of our DevOps function, drive reliability, security, and scalability across cloud infrastructure, and coach the team in Agile practices.

You’ll own the DevOps roadmap, collaborate with Engineering and cross-functional partners, and implement modern tools and processes to accelerate delivery while maintaining high availability and compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps or related field; 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred), CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, containerization.
• Proven experience implementing Agile practices and leading cross-functional engineering teams.
• Solid Linux, networking, monitoring, observability, automation scripting, and reliability.
• Ability to improve engineering processes through automation and DevOps best practices.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the DevOps strategy, driving cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD, security, and platform reliability aligned with business goals.
• Lead and mentor a high-performing DevOps team, fostering collaboration, accountability, continuous learning, and technical excellence.
• Own and prioritize the DevOps roadmap and backlog, balancing business priorities, operational needs, and improvements while driving Agile delivery.
• Partner with Engineering and cross-functional stakeholders to remove blockers, manage delivery risks, and improve performance and efficiency.
• Ensure secure, scalable production systems by leading incident response, root-cause analysis, and adopting modern DevOps tools.

As our DevOps Team Manager / Scrum Master, you'll lead the technical direction of our DevOps function while empowering a high-performing engineering team to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable systems. You'll combine technical leadership with Agile coaching to drive continuous improvement, operational excellence, and business impact.

What You'll Do:

• Define and execute the DevOps strategy, driving cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD, security, and platform reliability aligned with business goals.

• Ensure secure, scalable, and highly available production systems by leading incident response, root cause analysis, continuous improvement initiatives, and the adoption of modern DevOps and AI-assisted tools.

What We're Looking For:

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Infrastructure Engineering, Platform Engineering, or a related technical field, including 2+ years in a leadership role.


• Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred), CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, containerization, and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker and Kubernetes).


• Proven experience implementing Agile practices, leading cross-functional engineering teams, and driving continuous delivery and operational excellence.


• Strong understanding of Linux systems, networking, monitoring, observability, automation scripting, and infrastructure reliability.


• Demonstrated ability to improve engineering processes through automation, DevOps best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Bonus Points:

• Scrum Master certification or experience leading Agile transformation initiatives.


• Experience implementing DevSecOps practices or cloud security best practices.
