Job summary

AS White Global in Manila, Philippines, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to partner with cross-functional engineering and operations teams to streamline deployments and scale environments. You will manage CI/CD pipelines, containerised environments, and automation tools to ensure reliable, secure services for Australian customers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of DevOps experience.
• Deep CI/CD expertise (GitLab).
• Hands-on Docker & Kubernetes management and deployment.
• Knowledge of application security testing (SAST/DAST).
• Experience building enterprise applications, distributed systems and monoliths.
• PHP/Laravel background is highly regarded.

• Implement and manage development, testing, automation tools, and infrastructure for internal and external stakeholders.
• Implement and manage containerised environments.
• Oversee code release and deployment processes.
• Identify, manage, and maintain software engineering tools and infrastructure.
• Design and develop automations to improve software engineering efficiency and reduce risk.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and deployments.
• Resolve performance and architectural challenges.
• Handle application scaling, performance metrics.
• Mentor and guide team members.

What You’ll Do

Key Criteria

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years of DevOps experience
• Deep CI/CD expertise (preferably GitLab)
• Hands‑on Docker & Kubernetes management and deployment
• Knowledge of application security testing (SAST/DAST) and system security best practices
• Experience building enterprise applications, maintaining distributed systems, and monoliths
• PHP / Laravel background (highly regarded)
• Golang experience (highly regarded)
• Python, Java, or JavaScript knowledge (bonus)
• Telco industry & networking background (bonus)

Work setup:

• Manila (BGC, Taguig): Australian hours (6:00am–3:00pm PHT) with a flexible work arrangement.
