Job summary

Amex GBT in Manila seeks a Development Manager to lead a development team, aligning technology delivery with business goals in an agile setup. Qualifications

• Lead the development team for one vertical within the team.
• Support delivery and lifecycle of technology ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
• Partner with business unit customers, Product Managers, Security & Risk management, external clients and vendors to deliver product functionalities.
• Project manage the development of products, SLAs, and client support.
• Coordinate with Product, engineering, and vendor teams to size product needs and drive delivery.
• Create and maintain technical process documentation.
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and resolve product lead issues.
• Define and supervise performance metrics; work in an Agile environment.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the development team for one of the vertical in the team
• Support the delivery and lifecycle of technology and ensure alignment with business goals and customer needs
• Partner with business unit customers, Product Managers and support staff, Security & Risk management, external clients and vendors to deliver the functionalities of the specific product area assigned to you
• Project manage the development of products, business centric SLAs and support client needs
• Coordinate with Product, engineering, and vendor teams to size product needs and lead development and deliver product
• Create and maintain comprehensive Technical process documentation
• Maintain strong relationship with stakeholders, vendors, and operational support teams to ensure products receive excellent support as needed, to resolve product lead issues
• Define and supervise performance metrics for products
• Work in an Agile Environment and support the developers assigned in your team

What We’re Looking For

• 5 to 10 years of development management in a Java environment with coding experience in Java
• Demonstrated experience in agile lifecycle management and project management
• Familiarity with technical architecture of scalable systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of both automated and manual testing techniques
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambitious environment
• Strong understanding of the travel distribution systems (GDS, Amadeus, Travelport) is a plus
