Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Developer II, Data Operations to manage infrastructure for data operations, including servers, databases, and cloud services for Pressure Management. You will design data pipelines, ETL, and governance to deliver dashboards, predictions, and data warehouses.

You will collaborate with data scientists and engineers to ensure data is used effectively to drive business outcomes, automate ingestion and storage processes, and maintain high data quality across sources such as

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/IS or similar.
• At least 3 years in IT software development, data operations engineering, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation and scripting.
• Knowledge in Azure Synapse.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Define database design, data flows, and data integration techniques.

• Provide technical expertise, risk analysis, and assessments of data platform changes.

By joining us as a Developer II, Data Operations,you will have the opportunity to manage the infrastructure used to support data operations, including servers, databases, and cloud services of Pressure Management. You will manage data pipelines and data integration that takes raw data through a series of processing and transformation steps, producing output in the form of dashboards, predictions, data warehouses, and other business tools.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Define database design, data flows, and data integration techniques.
• Design and build data solutions ensuring data quality, reliability, availability, and data governance.
• Provide technical expertise, risk analysis, and business and technical assessment of change requests in relation to data platforms.
• Ensure that data is processed and stored efficiently and monitor data quality, ensuring that data meets relevant standards.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to data operations.
• Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, data warehouses, and other collaborators to ensure that data is being used effectively to drive business outcomes.
• Automate data processes, including ingestion, transformation, and storage, using SQL, Python, Azure Synapse, and relevant technologies.
• Create ETL designs and work with different data sources (i.e., Oracle, JDE, SharePoint, Excel, SAP, and other files).

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or similar fields.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience in the IT software development field, tools and process automation, data operations engineering, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation and scripting.
• Knowledge in Azure Synapse.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and cloud platforms.
