Job summary

RED Engineering Design is seeking a Design Manager to lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary team from concept through execution, ensuring alignment with standards and deadlines.

You will set design strategies, mentor staff, review technical quality, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high‑quality, innovative engineering solutions for complex facilities. The role bridges the team with client requirements and standards, drives design programs, and ensures permitting deadlines are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 15+ years of experience with 8–10 years in supervisor/managerial role.
• Experience in design management and track record on data centres or large-scale facilities.
• Understanding of design processes, standards, and QA/QC.

Responsibilities

• Lead design management delivery across a BU, coordinating across disciplines.
• Mentor and manage engineers & BIM specialists to deliver outputs.
• Ensure designs comply with drawings, specs, and safety standards.
• Prepare design programs to meet project timelines and permitting deadlines.
• Coordinate teams for coherent client-facing presentations.
• Support project delivery from PM, QA/QC, and technical review perspectives.
