Job summary

Net Pacific, Inc. seeks a Design and Estimate Engineer (Auxiliary) to join the Engineering team in Taguig City, Metro Manila.

You will design electrical systems and develop accurate cost estimates to support project delivery and ensure on-time completion within budget. Responsibilities include preparing cost estimates and bills of materials, collaborating with senior engineers, identifying labor/material requirements, and maintaining thorough design documentation.

Qualifications

• BS Electronics and Communications Engineering or BS Electrical Engineering graduates.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Planswift for estimating.
• Experience in cost estimation for Structured Cabling, CCTV and Door Access works.

Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates and bills of materials for engineering projects.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to refine designs and optimize delivery.
• Identify labor, material and time requirements by studying proposals and blueprints.
• Maintain documentation of design decisions, calculations and estimation methodologies.

About the role

Net Pacific, Inc. is seeking a Design and Estimate Engineer (Auxiliary) to join our Engineering team on a full-time basis in Taguig City, Metro Manila. This is a critical position within our electrical and electronic engineering operations, where you will be responsible for designing electrical systems and developing accurate cost estimates for projects. Your work will directly support the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions to our clients, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest technical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates and bills of materials for engineering projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements
• Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to refine designs and optimize project delivery
• Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specification
• Maintain detailed documentation of design decisions, calculations, and estimate methodologies
• Present prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information
• Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; and trainings
• Support the preparation of technical proposals and project documentation for client presentations
• Conduct site assessments and measurements to inform design and estimation activities
• Liaise with suppliers and vendors to obtain pricing information and ensure cost accuracy in estimates
• Contribute to continuous improvement of design processes, templates and estimation procedures
• Attends pre-bid meetings, clarification meeting and site inspection

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
• Knowledge in using Planswift
