Job summary

IBM Consulting in the Philippines is seeking an HR/Payroll operations specialist with native to near-native Japanese skills. You will support transition and ongoing operations, drive process improvements, and ensure accurate client reporting.

A bachelor’s degree and ERP experience are essential, with strong MS Office and communication abilities. You will collaborate with project teams, manage multiple priorities, and help maintain high employee engagement while adhering to corporate data

Qualifications

• JLPT N1 or equivalent Japanese proficiency is required.
• Fluent spoken and written Japanese is essential.
• Bachelor's degree or higher, HR related preferred.
• Experience with SAP/Oracle ERP systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure stable and healthy delivery during transition and operation.
• Collaborate with project teams to meet client and project expectations.
• Identify and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Provide accurate reporting to client, project teams and leadership.
• Resolve complex cases with insights to improve customer satisfaction.
• Analyze data for Process Change Requests (PCR) with project teams.
• Engage with employees monthly to monitor morale and satisfaction.
• Track team utilization and productivity across functions.
• Coordinate with Payroll and Benefit teams for collaboration.
• Ensure compliance with IBM policies, data security and privacy.

Your role and responsibilities

1. Ensure stable and healthy delivery during transition and operation.
2. Work closely with Project team to meet expectations from client and Project team.
3. Identify and drive process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and productivity.
4. Ensure effective and accurate reporting to client, project team, leadership team as required.
5. Able to resolve irregular and complex cases with expertise and insights to enhance customer satisfaction.
6. Work with Project team to identify Process Change Requests (PCR) and provide data analysis as needed.
7. Engage with employees on a monthly basis to keep the team morale and employee satisfaction.
8. Ensure team utilization and team productivity.
9. Ensure collaboration and cross support between Payroll and Benefit teams.
10. Ensure team to comply with IBM BCG, Data Security & Privacy, Business Control regulations. Work with team members to establish Social Contract.

Required technical and professional expertise

1. Native or near native Japanese skill, JLPT-1 or above.
2. Fluent communication in verbal Japanese is a must.
3. Bachelor’s Degree or above, preferably Human Resources related major.
4. COMPANY/SAP/Oracle ERP experience is perferable.
5. Intermediate in MS Excel/Word/PowerPoint.
6. Good computer and internet navigation skills.
7. Logical, organized, detailed, with strong analytical skills.
8. Proved problem-solving abilities.
9. Proved skills in managing multiple priorities effectively.
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
