Job summary

Questronix Corporation 2 is seeking an experienced Project Delivery Manager to oversee a portfolio of projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and within scope.

You will define project scope with stakeholders, create detailed execution timelines, and optimize resource usage while mentoring teams and coordinating across engineering and business units. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential to align business goals with technology strategies in the banking sector.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery management of each project within the portfolio, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and on-scope outcomes.
• Define and finalize project scope, goals and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Create and manage detailed execution timelines and align resources accordingly.
• Coach, mentor, and supervise project team members and drive accountability.
• Provide status updates on project progress at agreed frequencies.
• Identify and manage blockers for SMEs to deliver and perform.
• Facilitate learning through post-mortem and sprint retrospectives.
• Review technical design artifacts (database, architecture, system interfaces) with Solutions Architect and delivery teams.
• Identify, monitor and manage project risks, issues, dependencies and actions to closure.
• Monitor expenses to maintain cost baselines and manage dependencies on critical paths.
• Establish governance functions for the program in line with enterprise policies.

Job Description:

• Leads the overall delivery management of each project under within the managed portfolio ensuring such are delivered on-time, on-budget, and on-scope.

• Defines and finalize project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with business unit and key stakeholders
• Creates and manages the detailed timeline for project execution and ensures that resources are always aligned with such.
• Optimizes utilization of available resources to deliver project activities within the required timeframes and agreed quality and scope
• Coaches, mentors, motivates and supervises project team members and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
• Updates the project team of the status of the project based on agreed upon frequency.
• Clears blockers for the SMEs to perform and deliver
• Facilitates learning through post mortem and sprint retrospective
• Provides direct supervision and mentoring to project team members
• Reviews technical design provided by the Solutions Architect such as database, application architecture and system interface design together with the technical delivery team.
• Identifies, monitors and manages project risks, issues, dependencies and action plans until project implementation and closure.
• Monitors and manages project expenses to ensure it is within cost baseline.
• Identifies and manages project dependencies and critical path
• Establishes and ensures appropriate governance functions for the program in accordance with enterprise policies, practices and on behalf of the executive sponsor or senior responsible owner.
• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
• Ensures that implemented solution is based on the Solutions Architect's design and is aligned with the Enterprise Architecture

Requirements

• Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to develop and communicate the project objectives, inspire and motivate staff, and maintain alignment with the business strategy.
• A high degree of political sensitivity, astuteness and the ability to use the informal power structure of the organization to achieve program success and overcome obstacles.
• A high level of empathy and the ability to vary styles of interaction to match the needs of a variety of temperaments and personalities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain and "sell" the project goals and objectives to the business, as well as technical leadership.
• Strong business acumen, especially in banking business. Familiarity with industry trends and innovation related to banking.
• Influencing and negotiation experience and skills in an environment with high competition for resources. Excellent analytical, strategic planning and execution skills.
• Ability to develop programs and deliver them with financial and resource constraints.
• Knowledge of project planning tools.
