Job summary

ConnectOS is seeking a DataOps leader to build, mentor and scale a high-performing offshore DataOps team in the Philippines. You will drive CI/CD, data pipelines, and observability, collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to ensure reliable data platforms.

You will lead incident triage, governance, and continuous improvement while mentoring engineers and coordinating across squads to align with organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of data management principles and practices, including data warehousing, data modelling, and data governance.
• Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools like Apache Airflow, Dagster, or Shipyard.
• Proficiency in data integration and ETL processes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD principles and practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Hands-on with data and software engineering practices.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and services for scalable data infrastructure.
• Understanding data privacy laws and compliance requirements.
• Proficient in scripting languages (Python) and automation tools.
• Implementing automated testing and monitoring to ensure data reliability.
• Managing infrastructure through code and automation.
• Collaborative and proactive in cross-functional teams.
• Driving continuous learning and improvement in data processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a software engineering team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
• Ensure regular in-person engagement with team members for delivery challenges.
• Conduct regular 1:1 meetings and support professional development.
• Oversee end-to-end software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment.
• Provide visibility to senior management on delivery status, risks, and milestones.
• Manage multiple development workstreams aligned with revenue forecasts.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to align requirements with business needs.
• Coordinate with QA, infra, architecture for seamless delivery.
• Enforce best practices, coding standards, and QA per Totalmobile processes.
• Support team in resolving technical issues and ensure project success.
• Take overall responsibility for timely delivery and quality of the Organise product.
• Act as Scrum Master, driving Agile practices and improvement.
