Job Description

We are seeking a Database Services Manager with deep knowledge and proven experience of SQL Server, both in administration and development. The role requires experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, infrastructure‑as‑code and orchestration tools like Terraform and Ansible, DWH and NoSQL solutions such as Snowflake or MongoDB, ITIL and Agile frameworks, and Workday. The position involves shift work, including Saturday and Sunday.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the Database Services operations team supporting all facets of Database Services systems in a hybrid environment, encompassing SQL Server HA Always On clusters built using Terraform and Ansible.
• Schedule and manage shifts, conduct monthly and yearly reviews, and performance improvement plans (PIP).
• Oversee weekend maintenance activities, including automated OS patching, software releases and updates, DB reindexing, and other change‑management activities and scheduled migrations.
• Oversee BAU PROD and DR systems operations and performance, resource management, and budgeting.
• Adhere to company and team processes, procedures, and best practices.
• Build new automation processes and tools using Terraform and Ansible.
• Support DWH and NoSQL projects in Snowflake or MongoDB.

Job Requirements

• Education: Minimum bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. SQL Server and Cloud certification is beneficial.
• Experience: Proven experience as a Database Operations Manager in a 24x7 support system.
• Working expertise with Microsoft SQL Server Always‑On 2019‑2025.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Packer in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google).
• Experience with NoSQL DBMS – MongoDB.
• Experience with DWH – Snowflake.
• ITIL and Agile framework experience.
• Workday experience.
