Job summary

V2 Solutions is seeking a skilled database developer/engineer to design, implement, and maintain relational and NoSQL systems in a fast-paced environment. You will craft complex SQL queries, optimize performance, and ensure data integrity across platforms.

Collaborating with developers and analysts, you will drive data migrations, transformations, and secure data handling while contributing to documentation and DevOps automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of database development or data engineering experience.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain relational and/or NoSQL databases per requirements.
• Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.
• Optimize performance via indexing, tuning, and resource management.
• Collaborate with developers and analysts to support backend integrations.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and consistency across platforms.
• Create and maintain data models, dictionaries, and configurations docs.
• Perform data migrations, transformations, and backups/restores.
• Monitor and troubleshoot database issues and implement fixes promptly.
• Support deployment and version control through DevOps pipelines.

• - Design, develop, and maintain relational and/or NoSQL database systems based on business requirements
• - Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers

• - Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security across platforms
• - Create and maintain technical documentation related to data models, dictionaries, and database configurations

• - Monitor and troubleshoot database issues, and implement solutions promptly
• - Support database deployment and version control through DevOps pipelines or other automation tools

Required Skills:

• - Proficiency in SQL and database programming (T-SQL, PL/SQL, or equivalent)
• - Experience with one or more RDBMS platforms: SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL
• - Knowledge of database normalization, indexing strategies, and performance tuning techniques
• - Experience with data integration (ETL tools or custom scripts)
• - Familiarity with database security and access control best practices
• - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills:

• - Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, or Redis
• - Knowledge of SSIS, SSRS, or other reporting/ETL tools
• - Familiarity with cloud databases on AWS (RDS, Redshift), Azure (SQL Database), or Google Cloud (BigQuery)
• - Understanding of Agile methodologies and version control systems (e g- Experience with scripting languages (eg , Python, PowerShell) for automation
