Job summary

eTap Inc. is seeking a Database Administrator to maintain MySQL and PostgreSQL databases, support ETL/ELT pipelines, and manage Data Lake infrastructure. The role focuses on performance, reliability, security, and scalable data operations across the organization.

You will work on migrations, data integrity, and governance while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a dynamic fintech environment. 2–4 years of relevant experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience as Database Administrator or Data Engineer.
• Hands-on experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL administration.
• Strong SQL scripting, query optimization, and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines with tools like Apache Airflow, Talend, Python.

Responsibilities

• Database Administration: Manage and maintain MySQL and PostgreSQL databases.
• ETL Pipeline Operations: Design and maintain ETL/ELT workflows; ensure data movement to Data Lake.
• Data Lake Maintenance: Maintain structure, storage, and formats (Parquet, Avro).
• System Monitoring & Performance: Monitor performance; identify bottlenecks; improve reliability.
• Security & Compliance: Manage access controls; implement encryption and audit monitoring.
• Backup & Disaster Recovery: Execute backups; ensure recoverability; participate in DR planning.
