The work:

• As a Database SQL Engineer, you will spend your day investigating and resolving issues across various components of essential business systems. Your role involves monitoring system performance, diagnosing problems, and ensuring smooth operation to support business continuity. You will collaborate with different teams to maintain system reliability and contribute to continuous improvement efforts in a dynamic work environment.

Here’s what you’ll need:

• Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
• Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
• Contribute to providing solutions to work-related problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of incidents and service requests.
• Document troubleshooting steps and solutions to build a knowledge base for future reference.
• Monitor system alerts and proactively identify potential issues before they impact business operations.
• Assist in the implementation of system upgrades and patches to maintain optimal performance.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting enhancements to existing processes and tools.
• Required Skill: Expert proficiency in Database Administration.
• Additional Good to Have Skills: Experience with SQL Unit.
• Strong knowledge of database management systems, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Ability to optimize database performance through tuning and query optimization.
• Experience with backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Familiarity with database security is the best practice and access control mechanisms.
