Job summary

AF Payments Inc. is seeking a seasoned BI & Data leader to drive large-scale data pipelines, governance, and secure data assets while delivering actionable insights for business stakeholders.

You will lead a cross-functional team, partner with Finance, Operations, Technology, and Business Development to align data strategy and enable FinTech innovations across the organization.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of relevant experience; leadership/supervisory role for 3–5 years
• Strong hands-on SQL experience (5+ years) for data extraction and optimization
• Cloud platforms AWS, GCP, Azure for modern data architectures
• Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and large-scale data integration
• Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and analytics workflows
• Proven ability in data visualization using Power BI/Tableau
• Background in FinTech, digital payments, or financial services is highly preferred

As part of our Business Intelligence & Data team, you will:

• Lead ETL/ELT development and manage large-scale data pipelines across multiple environments.
• Oversee data modeling, warehousing, and governance to ensure high-quality, secure, and reliable datasets.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) that provide actionable insights for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Apply data science and analytics techniques to support financial and operational decision-making.
• Partner with cross-functional teams in Finance, Operations, Technology, and Business Development to drive data strategy alignment.
• Manage and mentor a team of analysts and developers to deliver high-quality output while fostering growth and capability-building.
• Contribute to FinTech innovation projects, leveraging payments and transaction data to improve customer experiences.

What we are Looking For

Technical Skills

• Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience with SQL for data extraction, transformation, and optimization.
• Strong knowledge of Cloud Platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for modern data architectures.
• Experience in ETL/ELT pipelines and large-scale data integration.
• Familiarity with Python for data manipulation, automation, and analytics workflows.
• Proficiency with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Exposure to data science and analytics methodologies (predictive models, statistical analysis).
• Background in FinTech, digital payments, or financial services is highly preferred.
