Job summary

Inchcape Digital, part of the Inchcape global network, is seeking a Data Scientist to drive commercial and operational decision-making through advanced analytics, ML, forecasting, and optimization.

You will own end-to-end data science workstreams, collaborate with Product, Data Engineering, and MLOps teams, and mentor junior data scientists while communicating insights to diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (CS/Stats/Math/Engineering)
• 2–4 years of experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar analytics role
• Strong knowledge of statistics, ML, forecasting, optimization, and decision science methods
• Proficiency in Python and SQL with maintainable/reproducible code
• Experience with Azure and Databricks or similar cloud analytics platforms
• Excellent communication to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end data science workstreams translating business challenges into analytical/ML solutions
• Assess data readiness, modeling feasibility, risks, assumptions, and constraints before development
• Design and develop forecasting, prediction, optimization, recommendation, and decision-support models
• Lead model validation activities including backtesting, benchmarking, robustness testing, and sensitivity analysis
• Partner with Product, Data Engineering, and MLOps teams to support deployment and monitoring
• Communicate findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior Data Scientists and promote knowledge sharing
