Job summary

Inchcape Digital in the Philippines invites a Data Scientist to turn data into actionable insights. You’ll own end-to-end data science workstreams, develop models for forecasting, optimization, and decision support, and partner with Product, Data Engineering, and MLOps teams to deploy and monitor solutions.

The role requires a BS or higher in CS/Stats/Engineering, 2-4 years in analytics, and strong Python/SQL skills with cloud experience (Azure/Databricks). Excellent communication is a plus.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience as a Data Scientist or similar analytics role.
• Strong knowledge of statistics, ML, forecasting, optimization, and decision science.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end data science workstreams translating business challenges into analytical and ML solutions.
• Assess data readiness, modeling feasibility, risks, assumptions, and constraints before development.
• Design and develop forecasting, prediction, optimization, and decision-support models with maintainable code.
• Lead model validation activities including backtesting, benchmarking, and robustness testing.
• Collaborate with Product, Data Engineering, and MLOps teams for deployment and monitoring.

Our Data Analytics Platform is looking for a Data Scientist to help drive commercial and operational decision-making through advanced analytics, machine learning, forecasting, and optimization solutions. What youll do

• Own end-to-end data science workstreams, translating business challenges into practical analytical and machine learning solutions.
• Assess data readiness, modeling feasibility, risks, assumptions, and implementation constraints before development.
• Design and develop forecasting, prediction, optimization, recommendation, and decision-support models using maintainable and reusable approaches.
• Lead model validation activities including backtesting, benchmarking, robustness testing, sensitivity analysis, and evaluation of alternative methods.
• Partner with Product, Data Engineering, and MLOps teams to support deployment, monitoring, model refreshes, and continuous improvement.
• Communicate technical findings, assumptions, limitations, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance, peer reviews, and mentoring to junior Data Scientists while contributing to a culture of knowledge sharing.

About you

• Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar applied analytics role.
• Strong knowledge of statistics, machine learning, forecasting, optimization, and decision science methods.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience building maintainable and reproducible code.
• Experience with Azure, Databricks, or similar cloud analytics platforms, including collaboration with Data Engineering and MLOps teams.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
