Job summary

Inchcape Digital, part of the Inchcape global network, is seeking a Data Scientist in the Philippines to drive commercial and operational decision-making through advanced analytics, ML, forecasting, and optimization solutions.

You will own end-to-end workstreams, assess data readiness, design scalable models, and collaborate with product, data engineering, and MLOps teams. Strong Python/SQL skills and cloud platform experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field such as CS, stats, math or engineering.
• 2–4 years of experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar analytics role.
• Strong knowledge of statistics, ML, forecasting, optimization, and decision science methods.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end data science workstreams translating business challenges into analytical and ML solutions.
• Assess data readiness, modeling feasibility, risks and constraints before development.
• Design/develop forecasting, prediction, optimization, recommendation, and decision-support models.
• Lead model validation activities including backtesting, benchmarking, robustness testing, sensitivity analysis.

Our Data Analytics Platform is looking for a Data Scientist to help drive commercial and operational decision-making through advanced analytics, machine learning, forecasting, and optimization solutions. What you'll do

• Own end-to-end data science workstreams, translating business challenges into practical analytical and machine learning solutions.
• Assess data readiness, modeling feasibility, risks, assumptions, and implementation constraints before development.
• Design and develop forecasting, prediction, optimization, recommendation, and decision-support models using maintainable and reusable approaches.
• Lead model validation activities including backtesting, benchmarking, robustness testing, sensitivity analysis, and evaluation of alternative methods.
• Partner with Product, Data Engineering, and MLOps teams to support deployment, monitoring, model refreshes, and continuous improvement.
• Communicate technical findings, assumptions, limitations, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance, peer reviews, and mentoring to junior Data Scientists while contributing to a culture of knowledge sharing.

About you

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar applied analytics role.
• Strong knowledge of statistics, machine learning, forecasting, optimization, and decision science methods.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience building maintainable and reproducible code.
• Experience with Azure, Databricks, or similar cloud analytics platforms, including collaboration with Data Engineering and MLOps teams.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
