Job summary

Maya Bank, Inc. is seeking a Data Science Lead to drive AI strategy across customer acquisition, engagement, retention, and revenue growth.

You will lead a team of data scientists, translating business goals into scalable AI-powered solutions with cross-functional stakeholder collaboration. The role requires 7+ years in Data Science/ML and 3+ years in people leadership, with strong experience in clustering, propensity modeling, recommendations, and marketing analytics.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Data Science, ML or AI.
• 3+ years of people leadership in Data Science teams.
• Proven experience building clustering, propensity, recommendation, classification, and predictive models.
• Experience with marketing, growth, CRM, lifecycle or customer analytics initiatives.
• Experience partnering with Product, Marketing, Growth, and Engineering stakeholders.
• Experience with Marketing Platforms/CDPs is highly preferred.
• Experience in fintech, banking, or digital financial services is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and deployment of AI, ML, and analytics solutions to drive growth.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate challenges into scalable data science roadmaps.
• Design and oversee customer intelligence and marketing analytics initiatives.
• Establish standards for model development, validation, and governance.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Growth, CRM to operationalize models.
• Drive adoption of emerging AI technologies and experimentation frameworks.
• Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing Data Science team.
