Job summary

Maya is seeking a Data Science Lead to drive its AI, ML, and customer intelligence strategy, leading a team of data scientists to develop analytics that boost acquisition, engagement, retention, and revenue across Maya's ecosystem.

The ideal candidate has deep expertise in clustering, segmentation, propensity modeling, recommendation systems, experimentation, and marketing analytics, and can translate business goals into scalable AI solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.
• 7+ years of experience in data science/AI.
• 3+ years of people leadership experience.
• Proven experience with clustering, propensity, recommendation, classification, and predictive models.
• Experience supporting marketing, growth, CRM, lifecycle, personalization or customer analytics.
• Experience partnering with Product, Marketing, Growth, and Engineering stakeholders.
• Experience with marketing platforms, CDPs, and customer engagement systems is preferred.
• Fintech/banking or large-scale consumer tech experience is a plus.
• Product scaling, experimentation and growth analytics experience is a plus.
• R&D experience in emerging AI technologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and deployment of AI/ML/analytics to drive growth and personalization.
• Translate business challenges into scalable data science roadmaps with measurable outcomes.
• Design customer intelligence initiatives including segmentation and propensity modeling.
• Establish model development standards, governance, monitoring, and explainability.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Growth, CRM to operationalize models across journeys.
• Drive adoption of emerging AI technologies and experimentation frameworks.
• Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing data science team.
