Job summary

BDO Unibank is seeking a Data Privacy Officer to join its Risk Management team in Metro Manila. The role oversees the bank's data privacy framework, ensures compliance with applicable laws, and promotes a culture of data protection across the business.

You will lead privacy program implementation, conduct PIAs, manage data breach responses, and advise on privacy risk. The position requires collaboration with stakeholders and strong analytical, communication, and prioritization skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a business-related or relevant field.
• Minimum 3 years in Data Privacy, Compliance, Risk Management, Audit, or related functions.
• Knowledge of the Data Privacy Act and related regulatory requirements.
• Experience in financial services or insurance is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the organization's data privacy framework and regulatory compliance.
• Lead privacy program implementation and continuous improvement.
• Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and provide guidance on privacy-related matters.
• Manage data breach incidents, investigations, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure proper handling, processing, and protection of personal data.
• Develop and facilitate privacy awareness and training programs for employees.
• Monitor regulatory developments and recommend necessary policy and process enhancements.
• Support risk management initiatives and contribute to governance and compliance activities.
