Job summary

Emapta Global in Makati offers a Data Privacy Analyst role focused on strengthening privacy governance for international operations. You will assist the Data Protection Officer, develop data protection policies, conduct privacy impact assessments, and monitor compliance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and GDPR.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in data privacy, compliance, information security, risk management, or related functions
  • Strong knowledge of Data Privacy Act of 2012, GDPR, and other applicable data privacy regulations
  • Solid understanding of data protection principles, privacy frameworks, and information security best practices
  • Experience conducting compliance reviews, audits, risk assessments, or incident investigations is an advantage
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity and professionalism
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and documentation management
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams while managing multiple priorities
  • Relevant certifications such as CDPA, CIPP, or similar are an advantage but not required

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Data Protection Officer in ensuring the effective and efficient operations of the Data Protection Office
  • Develop, implement, and maintain data protection policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular data protection audits and privacy impact assessments
  • Monitor compliance with applicable data protection regulations, including the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and GDPR
  • Assist in investigating and responding to data breaches and security incidents
  • Collaborate with IT and legal teams to integrate data protection measures into business processes
  • Serve as the first point of contact for data protection and privacy-related inquiries
  • Maintain and update the organization's data privacy and protection registry
  • Review and update data protection documentation to ensure accuracy and alignment with current standards
  • Maintain records of processing activities, compliance documentation, and audit findings
  • Support regulatory reporting and compliance submissions as required
  • Deliver training and guidance to employees on data protection policies and best practices
  • Promote organization-wide awareness of data privacy and information security responsibilities
  • Stay informed of emerging data protection trends, technologies, and regulatory developments
  • Recommend process improvements that strengthen organizational data privacy practices
  • Perform other administrative or non-administrative duties as assigned by authorized company representatives
