Job summary

John Clements Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Data Management Analyst to support the Investment Division's data governance program, focusing on data accuracy and reporting reliability.

You will work across cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and enhance data integrity. The role provides exposure to end-to-end investment data processes, securities data, and analytics while applying best practices in data management and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in investment operations, investment management, mutual funds/UITF, or financial services.
• Knowledge of securities, settlements, and investment operations processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Basic to intermediate SQL skills for data validation, extraction, and analysis.
• Experience working with large datasets, data governance, reporting, or analytics tools is an advantage.
• Familiarity with investment data management, securities markets, and process improvement initiatives is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform securities setup—including private securities—within the Security Master database, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data
• Identify, investigate, and escalation data discrepancies across order management systems and enterprise data platforms, ensuring timely resolution
• Conduct periodic security master reviews and validate data to support downstream functions such as valuation, performance, reporting, trading, and compliance
• Maintain and enhance data governance processes, including documentation, risk assessment support, and tracking of remediation actions
• Perform data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and analysis to support reporting, dashboards, and business insights

About the role
