John Clements Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Data Management Analyst to support the Investment Division's data governance program, focusing on data accuracy and reporting reliability.
You will work across cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and enhance data integrity. The role provides exposure to end-to-end investment data processes, securities data, and analytics while applying best practices in data management and governance.
The Data Management Analyst plays a vital role in supporting the Investment Division's data management program by ensuring data accuracy, monitoring data quality, and resolving discrepancies. The position combines data management expertise with knowledge of investment operations to strengthen data governance, support the division's data strategy, and improve reporting reliability. Working across cross-functional teams, the Analyst helps drive process improvements, enhance data integrity, and contribute to innovative initiatives, while gaining broad exposure to end-to-end investment data processes and industry best practices.
Perform securities setup—including private securities—within the Security Master database, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data
Identify, investigate, and escalation data discrepancies across order management systems and enterprise data platforms, ensuring timely resolution
Conduct periodic security master reviews and validate data to support downstream functions such as valuation, performance, reporting, trading, and compliance
Maintain and enhance data governance processes, including documentation, risk assessment support, and tracking of remediation actions
Perform data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and analysis to support reporting, dashboards, and business insights
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
At least 3 years of experience in investment operations, investment management, mutual funds/UITF, or the financial services industry
Knowledge of securities, settlements, and investment operations processes
Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
Basic to intermediate SQL skills for data validation, extraction, and analysis
Experience working with large datasets, data governance, reporting, or analytics tools is an advantage
Familiarity with investment data management, securities markets, and process improvement initiatives is a plus
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams
