You will establish governance standards, enforce access controls, improve data quality, and enable responsible data use and AI. This technical role requires hands-on work with Databricks Unity Catalog, Azure, identity and access management, data cataloging, lineage, classification, and data-quality controls.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management or related field.
• Hands-on experience with data cataloging and access control, preferably Databricks/Unity Catalog.
• Strong understanding of ownership, metadata, lineage, privacy and data quality.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Management, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics.

Responsibilities

• Establish and enforce data governance standards and access controls.
• Administer and govern Databricks Unity Catalog, data catalogs, schemas, classifications and masking.
• Develop and implement data-quality, privacy, security and residency policies across ASEAN markets.

We are looking for a Data Governance & Quality Lead to provide strategic and technical leadership in building a trusted, secure, compliant, and well-governed enterprise data environment.

The role will be responsible for establishing and enforcing data governance standards, ensuring appropriate data access and security controls, improving data quality, and supporting responsible use of data and AI across the organization.

This is a technical Data Governance role, requiring hands‑on experience with Databricks/Unity Catalog, Azure, identity and access management, data cataloging, lineage, classification, and data-quality controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and govern Databricks Unity Catalog, including:
• Data catalogs and schemas
• Access controls and permissions
• Data classification
• Data masking
• Governance coverage and adoption across Tier-1 data assets
• Implement and manage identity and access governance, including RBAC, ABAC, SSO, and integration with Microsoft Entra ID.
• Establish and enforce enterprise data quality, privacy, security, and data residency policies across Philippines and ASEAN markets.
• Manage the enterprise data catalog, metadata, business glossary, and data lineage.
• Coordinate with Data Stewards, Data Owners, IT, Security, Risk, Compliance, and business units to establish clear data ownership and accountability.
• Define and implement data-quality standards, controls, monitoring, and remediation processes.
• Support responsible AI and model-risk governance, including controls around AI data usage and enterprise AI gateway policies.
• Develop and enforce governance controls using policy-as-code and automated governance practices where applicable.
• Conduct data governance assessments and identify gaps involving access, classification, quality, privacy, lineage, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide guidance on data governance architecture, security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
• Promote data as a strategic enterprise asset while ensuring it remains secure, accurate, discoverable, and compliant.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Demonstrated hands‑on experience with data cataloging and access control, preferably within Databricks/Unity Catalog.
• Experience working with enterprise-scale data platforms and governance frameworks.
• Strong understanding of data ownership, stewardship, metadata, lineage, data quality, and privacy.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Management, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
