Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in SQL and data analysis.
- At least 3 years of experience in Master Data Management, Data Quality, or Data Integration.
- 3 years of experience implementing or managing enterprise-scale data warehouse or data management projects.
- 5 years of experience working with data management teams.
- Strong understanding of data governance and data management principles and processes.
- Experience with data tools such as data cleansing, master data management, metadata management, and data quality tools.
- Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to assess risks, dependencies, and business impacts related to data issues.
Data Governance & Process
- Define and implement data governance policies covering the full data lifecycle for assigned business units.
- Establish and enforce data security and data privacy compliance procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain the data governance framework, including standards for data collection, storage, access, sharing, and usage.
- Define, track, and manage Data Quality KPIs and consolidate metrics across the enterprise.
- Implement controls and compliance metrics to proactively reduce data issues and improve data quality.
- Conduct data profiling, define data lineage, and establish evaluation methods to assess data health and maturity.
- Design governance processes and lead training initiatives to align data owners with data policies, standards, and guidelines.
Business & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Report and elevate data quality issues and improvement opportunities to the Data Governance Council with clear recommendations.
- Collaborate with reporting, analytics, and operational teams to identify data errors, root causes, and corrective actions.
- Lead and prioritize enterprise-wide data governance initiatives to improve data quality, availability, and usability.
- Plan, manage, monitor, and communicate data governance policies and KPIs to key stakeholders.
- Align data governance initiatives with strategic business goals, scorecards, and core KPIs.
- Define SLAs for data issue resolution based on business impact (customer, revenue, reporting, analytics).
Leadership & People Management
- Lead and manage teams responsible for executing data governance and data quality initiatives.
- Manage project risks, issues, and stakeholder expectations throughout initiative lifecycles.
- Ensure benefits realization from implemented data governance improvements.
Mentor team members and provide coaching and training as needed.
