Job summary

Amazon Web Services in the Philippines seeks a Data Center Engineering Operations (DCEO) Engineer to oversee critical facilities, risk management, and maintenance of data center infrastructure. You will coordinate with multiple teams, manage vendor activities, and respond to incidents, ensuring operational excellence in a dynamic 24x7 environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant work in a data center or other critical environment experience.
• Flexibility to work night shifts and weekends as part of on-call rotations.
• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering required.

Responsibilities

• Act as site primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
• Meet daily hours of operations, on-call requirements and rotations.
• Manage planned and unplanned site works for critical infrastructure with risk mitigation.
• On-site management of contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors to ensure compliance with practices and local laws.
• Establish performance benchmarks, analyze data, and report on data center facility operations.
• Generate change management and incident tickets for DCEO activities.
• Coordinate with IT, Networking, Logistics, Safety and Security to optimize plant safety and efficiency.
• Document technical support for business and facility operations.
• Drive projects to increase facility capacity, efficiency and reliability.
• Assist in recruiting efforts.
• Support partners in resolving infrastructure engineering issues.
• Work 24x7 with rotating shifts.
