Job summary

Sun Life is seeking an experienced Business Lead to drive the Data Lakehouse backbone project for Client and Marketing across life insurance and investments. You will manage squads, translate business needs into a learnable product backlog, and ensure value realization through data-driven outcomes.

The role requires strong product ownership, leadership, and analytics skills, with experience in data management and agile environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Master's degree preferred.
5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role in data-driven projects.
Experience in Life Insurance and Investments industry is highly desirable.
Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical/problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Lead squads of both technical and business members to deliver data and analytics products.
Detail product vision and translate requirements into executable roadmaps and user stories.
Manage Data Backbone Client & Marketing workstreams and prioritize features for business value.
Drive Agile practices, sprint planning, and backlog health across teams.
Partner with stakeholders to measure OKRs and drive adoption of data solutions.
