Job summary

QBE Group Shared Services Centre is seeking a Cyber Security Risk professional to support transformational change across the core business, programs and projects. You will work within the Group Cyber Security team to safeguard the company from threats and enable strategic outcomes.

Responsibilities include leading risk discussions, mitigating weaknesses, and collaborating across departments to prevent security issues becoming business problems.

Qualifications

• Tertiary degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Preferred degree in cyber security, information security, IT, management or business.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to an effective Cyber and information security capability across the organisation.
• Engage in building cyber security experience, coaching understanding and building awareness.
• Identify and assess risks; lead risk dialogue as SME; support stakeholders in making informed, risk-based decisions.
• Take personal accountability for identifying security weaknesses and ensuring mitigation to a secure conclusion.
• Engage across the organisation to ensure issues are identified, self-reported, and notified to key stakeholders.
• Act with integrity and transparency in threat and risk identification and problem solving.
• Role model the creation and innovation of solutions and threat mitigation strategies.
• Contribute to the development, execution, and assurance of an effective Cyber practice.
• Manage and quality assure staff augmentation and outsourced security arrangements.
• Collaborate across departments to avoid security problems manifesting as business problems.
