Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel is seeking a Customs Broker to prepare and execute import/export declarations for internal stakeholders across the network. The role requires strong knowledge of customs regulations and the ability to process declarations promptly while maintaining compliance.

The successful candidate will manage documentation, advise on tariff regimes, and stay updated on regulatory changes. Strong English communication and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Customs Administration or related field.
• Knowledge of the HTS, customs regulations, and Incoterms.
• Familiarity with import/export compliance requirements.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute import and export declarations according to regulations.
• Create transit documentation as required.
• Ensure adherence to customs clearance instructions.
• Use customs systems to calculate duties, taxes and related charges.
• Confirm accuracy of commodity classification for imports/exports.
• Advise on import/export restrictions and tariff regimes.
• Identify issues affecting declaration processing and address them.
• Maintain accurate records per government regulations.
• Keep up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations in the stakeholder country.
• Request or assemble supporting documents for customs activities.
