Job summary

IBM Consulting is seeking a Curriculum & Instructional Design Lead to shape and govern learning programs for telecom accounts. You will lead the design team, set standards, and oversee end-to-end development of courses, paths, and certifications in a hybrid delivery model.

You’ll collaborate with operations, quality, and client teams to identify needs, manage designers, and ensure content aligns with regulatory and brand requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development, strategy, and governance of telecom learning curriculum.
  • Define instructional standards, templates, and design methodologies.
  • Oversee end-to-end design of courses, paths, and certification programs.
  • Collaborate with ops, delivery, quality, and client teams to identify learning needs.
  • Manage instructional designers and eLearning developers; assign workload and priorities.
  • Ensure content aligns with goals, gaps, and telecom policies.
  • Review/approve course designs, storyboards, scripts, assessments.
  • Track curriculum performance and recommend improvements from data and feedback.
  • Ensure training meets compliance, regulatory, and brand standards.
  • Provide exec updates on curriculum roadmap, progress, risks.

In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities
  • Lead the development, strategy, and governance of the learning curriculum for the telecom account
  • Define instructional standards, templates, and methodologies for the design team
  • Oversee the end‑to‑end design of courses, learning paths, and certification programs
  • Work with operations, training delivery, quality, and client teams to identify learning needs
  • Manage instructional designers and eLearning developers, assigning workload and project priorities
  • Ensure training content aligns with operational goals, performance gaps, and telecom policies
  • Review and approve course designs, storyboards, scripts, and assessments
  • Track curriculum performance and recommend improvements using data and learner feedback
  • Ensure training meets compliance, regulatory, and brand requirements
  • Provide executive‑level updates on curriculum roadmap, progress, and risks
Required education

Educational Qualifications Include:

  • BA/BS degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, or related field

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Adult Learning, or similar
  • Industry certifications (e.g., ATD, CPTD, APTD, curriculum design certifications)
