Aprio is seeking an Accounting Associate to join its Outsourcing team in a fast-paced environment focused on digital assets and blockchain technology. You will handle day-to-day bookkeeping, crypto wallet updates, and monthly financial reporting for diverse clients, while staying compliant with evolving digital asset standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in the BPO industry.
• Experience with XERO and QBO is required.
• General understanding of cryptocurrency or blockchain technology.
• Experience handling cryptocurrency transactions is preferred.
• CPA license is an advantage.
• Clear and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day bookkeeping for assigned clients.
• Update bank accounts and crypto wallets via online feeds.
• Import transactions from bank, credit card and crypto wallets.
• Analyze and code crypto and fiat transactions.
• Understand crypto transactions including purchases, sales, swaps, and wrapping.
• Process bills and receipts in fiat and crypto via client apps.
• Record monthly amortization and depreciation of assets.
• Record payroll journal entries using payroll software.
• Support month-end close: reconcile pages, update working papers, and post adjustments; prepare financial reports with trends.
• Stay updated on accounting standards for digital assets and ensure client compliance.
• Self-review of work.
