Job summary

Columbia Shipmanagement Ltd. in Manila is seeking a Crewing Operator to manage crew changes and ensure compliance with employment agreements.

You will verify training and qualifications per STCW and Flag State, inform wage departments about status changes, and support the crewing team to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires proactive communication with the Crewing Superintendent and a strong grasp of the company management system.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience onboard or ashore in shipping or ship management.
• Good command of the English language.
• Computer literacy.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct crew changes in compliance with SEA and Crewing Superintendent.
• Verify that Seafarers are trained and qualified per STCW and Flag State requirements.
• Inform Crew Wages Department on changes of employment status.
• Inform relevant parties of medical cases/accidents and follow up.
• Arrange for Cash to Master; approve Travelling Expenses.
• Perform other special tasks as assigned.
• Be conversant with the Company’s Management System and implement it.
• Contribute to development or amendment of procedures.
• Promote continual improvement in crewing processes.
• The Crewing Operator reports to the Crewing Superintendent or Assistant Crewing Superintendent.
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth crewing operations.
