Philsearch Consulting, Inc. is assisting a leading local savings bank in the Philippines in recruiting a Credit Management Division Head.
The role will oversee Consumer Credit, Credit Evaluation, Micro & Small Credit, and Credit Investigation & Appraisal functions. The candidate will lead the division’s credit strategy, policies, and risk management, review credit policies for regulatory compliance, and participate as a member of the Credit Committee to evaluate significant proposals.
A leading local savings bank is looking for an accomplished Credit Management Division Head to lead its Consumer Credit, Credit Evaluation, Micro & Small Credit, and Credit Investigation & Appraisal functions.
Lead the division’s overall credit strategy, policies, and risk management.
Review, enhance, and recommend improvements to credit policies, guidelines, and procedures in line with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Serve as a member of the Credit Committee, participating in the evaluation, deliberation, and approval of significant and high-value credit proposals.
Review complex credit proposals, identify key risks, and recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures.
Ensure compliance with BSP MORB, BSP Circulars, CAR, and other regulatory requirements.
Drive improvements in credit processes, portfolio quality, and turnaround time.
Strengthen collaboration between Credit, Marketing, and other business units.
Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing credit teams.
Graduate of a business-related course.
10+ years of solid experience in credit review, loan evaluation, credit risk, and/or credit management.
Banking industry experience is highly preferred, particularly from savings, commercial, or universal banks.
Must be knowledgeable and experienced in credit policy review, development, and enhancement.
Must have actual exposure to Credit Committee meetings, with experience presenting, evaluating, and deliberating credit proposals.
Strong knowledge of BSP regulations, MORB, BSP Circulars, CAR, and credit risk management.
Proven ability to make sound, independent, and risk-based credit decisions.
Strong leadership, analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.
Strategic, results-oriented, and capable of working effectively with senior management and business leaders.
