Job summary

Metrobank is seeking a Credit Review Officer to join its Institutional Banking segment. You will perform credit assessment of loan proposals, ensure conformity to internal policies, and contribute to overall credit risk management to protect the bank's portfolio.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Commercial and Corporate Loans Credit.
• Experience as Credit Risk Officer, Credit Analyst, or Credit Manager in financial institutions is a plus.
• Solid experience in Commercial / Corporate Relationship Management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with IBS counterparts on timely submission of pre-approval documents and manage assigned portfolio with the lending officer.
• Prepare the Evaluation and Recommendation for Credit Accommodation (ERCA) for credit line renewals according to policy and SLA.
• Validate data provided by lending units as part of the credit assessment.
• Assess collateral and documentation deviations and mitigations in relation to the credit assessment.
• Identify policy and regulatory deviations to arrive at a fair overall risk assessment and recommendations.
• Prepare the financial spreadsheet and financial evaluation of new borrowing clients; may evaluate ERCA for IBS establishments.
• Determine and assess credit risk rating and classification to ensure they are appropriate at all times.

Job Summary:

• Conformity to internal and external policies

Role Exposure:

• Should ensure consistent and advance coordination with Institutional Banking Segment (IBS) counterparts on the timely submission of pre-approval documents, and the active management of his/her assigned portfolio of accounts together with the lending officer
• Prepares the Evaluation and Recommendation for Credit Accommodation (ERCA) for credit line renewals of IBS accounts according to policy and in compliance with the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA) with IBS
• Validates data provided by lending units as part of the credit assessment
• Assess the related collateral and documentation deviations and necessary mitigations in relation to the credit assessment
• Identify all relevant policy and regulatory deviations to arrive at a fair assessment of the overall risks and make the appropriate recommendations
• Prepare the financial spreadsheet and financial evaluation of new borrowing clients - may be asked to evaluate the ERCA prepared by IBS for the establishment of its credit facilities
• Determine and assess credit risk rating and classification and ensure these are appropriate and relevant at all times

Qualifications:

• Graduate of Accountancy, Accounting Management, Math, Statistics, Financial Management or Economics
• With any of the following backgrounds:
  • At least 2 years of experience in handling Commercial and Corporate Loans Credit
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience as Credit Risk Officer, Credit Analyst, or Credit Manager in financial institutions (with background in Accounting is plus)
  • With solid experience in Commercial / Corporate Relationship Management
  • With Consumer Lending (Auto, Personal, Home) Credit experience and background in Accounting
• Comes with strong quantitative and analytical skills
• Knowledgeable in credit risk / financial analysis
