Job summary

Gulf Oil Philippines Incorporated is seeking a Credit Control Supervisor with a strong background in credit risk, accounts receivable management, and working capital optimization. You will assess credit exposure, monitor receivables, and guide escalation for high-risk accounts, while partnering with Sales to align growth with prudent risk controls.

The role requires experience in credit risk assessment, collections, and recovery processes, plus familiarity with ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, economics or related field.
• Minimum 5 years' solid experience in credit control, accounts receivable, and credit management.
• Experience in credit risk assessment, collections management, and recovery processes.
• Experience handling distributor and key account portfolios is preferred.
• Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Assess customer creditworthiness and manage credit exposure through regular review of limits, terms, collateral, and risk profiles.
• Identify potential credit risks and implement preventive actions to safeguard assets.
• Drive collection performance and keep accounts receivable aging within targets to optimise cash flow.
• Lead collection reviews with business stakeholders and oversee overdue accounts.
• Evaluate delinquent/high-risk accounts and determine escalation actions including credit hold, demand letters, provisioning, and write-off recommendations.
• Ensure collection actions are supported by financial analysis and company policies.
• Analyze collection trends, payment behavior, and credit risk exposure for data-driven decisions.
• Prepare AR performance reports, cash collection forecasts, and credit risk insights for management.
• Monitor distributor credit exposure, collateral compliance, and incentive program administration.
• Collaborate with Sales to balance growth with prudent credit risk management.
