Private Advertiser in the Philippines is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to lead and mentor the credit and collection team.

You will monitor aging, negotiate payment terms, review credit applications, and develop strategies to improve recovery and reduce bad debts.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in AR/credit with supervisory experience, strong Excel skills, excellent communication, and NACM certification preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise and manage the credit and collection team, providing guidance and performance feedback.
• Monitor and manage accounts receivable ageing schedules and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Develop and implement collection strategies to improve recovery rates and reduce bad debts.
• Review and assess credit applications and determine appropriate credit limits based on risk.
• Conduct credit checks and due diligence on new and existing clients to mitigate credit risk.
• Maintain accurate records of credit decisions, collection efforts and customer communications.
• Negotiate payment terms with clients and arrange suitable payment plans.
• Prepare regular reports on credit performance, collection metrics and outstanding account status for management review.
• Liaise with sales and operations teams to resolve customer account issues and disputes.
• Ensure compliance with credit policies and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Train and mentor team members on credit control procedures and best practices.

About the role

• Develop and implement collection strategies and procedures to improve recovery rates and reduce bad debts
• Review and assess credit applications, determining appropriate credit limits based on risk assessment and company policy
• Conduct credit checks and due diligence on new and existing clients to mitigate credit risk
• Maintain accurate records of credit decisions, collection efforts and customer communications
• Negotiate payment terms with clients and arrange suitable payment plans when necessary

What we're looking for

• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in accounts receivable, credit control or collection roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity
• Strong knowledge of credit management principles, collection techniques and accounts receivable processes
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage difficult conversations professionally
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail
• Demonstrated leadership capability and ability to motivate and develop team members
• Understanding of financial reporting and ability to produce accurate credit and collection reports
• Knowledge of credit risk assessment and credit analysis methodologies
• Professional certification such as NACM (National Association of Credit Management) or similar credit management qualification is preferred
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills and commitment to maintaining professional relationships with clients

SALARY:

PHP 35k - 70k depend of experience and credentials
