Industry: Advertising / Below-the-Line (BTL) / Events & Activations
We are looking for a Creative Director who can lead with both vision and accountability—someone who can inspire a team, turn briefs into strong campaign ideas, and remain hands‑on when the situation calls for it.
This role is ideal for a creative leader who understands that great ideas need to be not only exciting, but also strategic, executable, on-brand, and realistic within budget and timeline constraints.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the overall creative direction of campaigns, events, activations, pitches, and other BTL requirements across different brands and industries.
- Translate client briefs and business challenges into clear, relevant, and compelling creative strategies and concepts.
- Provide strong direction for both Copy and Art, ensuring that all creative outputs are cohesive, strategically sound, and aligned with the brand.
- Lead brainstorming sessions and encourage a culture of collaboration, openness, and strong idea development.
- Review and elevate concepts, key visuals, copy, decks, scripts, presentations, and other creative materials before client presentation.
- Remain hands‑on when needed, including writing copy, developing concepts, structuring presentations, or helping complete pitch decks during high‑pressure periods.
- Assign and traffic projects across the Creative Team based on workload, strengths, priorities, and deadlines.
- Work closely with Accounts, Operations, Production, and Management to ensure that creative ideas are executable and aligned with project budgets and timelines.
- Adapt creative recommendations when budgets, timelines, or production limitations change without losing the core idea.
- Lead creative presentations and confidently articulate the strategy, rationale, and thinking behind proposed concepts.
- Mentor, coach, and develop members of the Creative Team.
- Foster a working environment that encourages respect, accountability, teamwork, collaboration, and constructive feedback.
- Take ownership of the team's overall creative output and continuously identify ways to improve processes, quality, and efficiency.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Creative Director, preferably within a Below-the-Line agency, experiential marketing agency, events agency, or activations environment.
- Strong experience developing campaigns, brand activations, events, experiential concepts, and pitch presentations.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a multidisciplinary creative team.
- Strong understanding of both copywriting and art direction.
- Excellent conceptual and strategic thinking skills.
- Ability to turn complex briefs into clear and compelling creative ideas.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects and pitches simultaneously.
- Comfortable working within tight deadlines and changing project requirements.
- Commercially aware and understands how to develop creative solutions within realistic client budgets.
- Collaborative and able to work effectively with Accounts, Operations, Production, suppliers, and clients.
- Calm and solution‑oriented under pressure.
- Quick thinker who can make sound creative decisions when timelines are tight.
- Willing to step in and execute when needed—not just delegate.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Leadership Qualities We Value
We are looking for someone who:
- Leads from the front.
- Takes accountability for both successes and setbacks.
- Gives the team clear direction instead of simply assigning tasks.
- Encourages healthy debate without creating unnecessary conflict.
- Can challenge ideas without diminishing people.
- Builds a team culture where people feel comfortable contributing ideas and feedback.
- Understands that strong creative work is built through collaboration—not ego.
- Knows when to push for a stronger idea and when to make practical compromises.
- Is willing to support the team during crunch periods.
- Balances creative ambition with business and production realities.
To be discussed during final interview.
