Job summary

Globe Telecom is seeking a Financial Reporting Expert in the Philippines to lead end-to-end preparation of consolidated and standalone financial statements. The role involves technical accounting research, regulatory compliance with agencies like SEC, NTC, and BSP, and driving automation in the reporting function.

Key duties include monthly/quarterly close, preparing statements and disclosures, maintaining GL databases, and supporting external audits.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Public Accountant.
• At least 2 years' experience in external audit and/or financial reporting.
• Knowledge of SAP or ERP systems is a plus but not required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Detail-oriented and able to work under pressure.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepares monthly consolidated financial reports including system processing, consolidation queries among others
• Acts as a point person for portfolio companies assigned. Tasks include but are not limited to compliance, consulting and review of accounts.
• Responsible for the completion of financial statement package for assigned reporting entity/ies including collation of inputs for period-to-period analysis on significant balance sheet and income statement fluctuations
• Prepares the quarterly and annual financial statements for assigned reporting entity/ies and disclosures
• Assists in managing the monthly consolidation and closing of books of accounts in compliance with financial reporting timelines
• Prepares accounting research memos including assessments and application to various Globe Group transactions.
• Creates/Maintains GL Database of all entities
• Perform assessment of controls over financial reporting and related processes, including risk and control assessment and management of control effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements & guidelines
• Preparation of various reportorial requirements submitted to government agencies such as the NTC, PSA, SEC and BSP
• Assist the external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual financial statements audit
• Responsible for the continuous enhancement of accounting processes & controls. Point person in the various automation projects.
• Promotes a productive team environment by driving and tracking performance, encouraging them to offer ideas and provide assistance only when needed.
