Connex Education are recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming and supportive secondary academy in Boston. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who enjoys working with young people and is passionate about creating a positive learning environment where students feel supported, encouraged and motivated to achieve their potential. As a Cover Supervisor, you will provide continuity of learning by delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects in the absence of the class teacher. You will support students to remain engaged with their work, encourage positive attitudes towards learning and maintain a calm and purposeful classroom environment. The successful candidate will be confident working with students aged 11-16, able to build respectful relationships and manage behaviour consistently in line with the academy’s expectations. You will work closely with teaching staff to support student progress, provide feedback following lessons and contribute positively to the wider life of the academy. You will be organised, adaptable and approachable, with the ability to inspire confidence in students and provide support where needed. This role would suit graduates considering a career in teaching, experienced Cover Supervisors, Teaching Assistants, Learning Mentors or individuals with experience working with young people within an educational setting.
