Job summary

Spinneys Philippines is seeking Counterhands to support daily operations across Deli, Bakery, Meat, Fish, and Pork sections. You will assist customers, ensure proper product presentation, and maintain clean, well-stocked counters.

Responsibilities include weighing, labeling, rotating stock, and following food safety standards. Flexibility for shifts, weekends, and holidays is required, with comfort working in cold environments. Experience in retail or food service is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Senior High School graduate or equivalent.
• Experience in retail, supermarket, food service, deli, bakery, meat, fish, or butcher sections is an advantage.
• Experience handling fresh food products is preferred for Meat, Fish, and Pork Counterhand roles.
• Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices.
• Customer-service oriented with good communication skills.
• Physically fit and comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays.
• Willing to work in a cold/chilled environment when assigned to Meat, Fish, Pork, or Deli sections.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with receiving, arranging, packing, and displaying bread, pastries, and bakery products.

Monitor product freshness and ensure proper handling of baked goods.

Assist with weighing, cutting, portioning, packing, labeling, and displaying meat products as trained.

Maintain proper temperature control and hygiene standards.

Assist with handling, weighing, cleaning, packing, labeling, and displaying fresh fish and seafood as trained.

Maintain proper temperature, sanitation, and freshness standards.

Assist with weighing, portioning, packing, labeling, and displaying pork products.

Follow strict hygiene, sanitation, temperature-control, and cross-contamination prevention procedures.
