Fabtech Export Industries, Inc. is seeking a Cost Estimator to work closely with engineers and stakeholders to deliver accurate cost estimates for construction projects in the Philippines.

The role involves calculating labor, materials, and resources to ensure timely quotations and competitive pricing. The ideal candidate has a engineering or construction management background, proven estimating experience, strong math skills, and fluency in blueprint interpretation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a similar field.
• Proven work experience as a cost estimator.
• Advanced knowledge of construction and engineering processes.
• High-level mathematical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced analytical skills.
• Proficient with MS Excel and relevant applications.
• Cost Estimation: 1 year (Required)

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, designs, and specs to determine scope of work.
• Pinpoint variables influencing final cost, including materials, time, and labor.
• Study records of previous projects to identify trends and budgets.
• Itemize all components and materials required for production.
• Calculate material quantities based on dimensions and scrap rates.
• Estimate scrap rates and setup waste to adjust material volumes.
• Partner with engineers to optimize designs for cost.
• Provide final cost breakdowns to sales for bids and pricing.
