SMEDD Corp. in the Philippines is seeking a Budget and Cost Control professional to oversee project initiation, budgeting, and cost performance for development projects.
You will coordinate with Construction and Project Managers, validate budgets, monitor KPI metrics, and ensure alignment with approved budgets while updating variance analyses.
Monitors the preparation and approval of Rate Cards and General Construction Works Provisional Contract and provides tracker to ensure timely schedule or within the specified schedule
Participates in meetings related to pre-construction activities (Coordinating Division, Internal & External Relationships)
Prepares initial budget for New Development projects including Redevelopment and Improvement projects based on Design’s conceptual/schematic plan for approval
Liaises with Construction Manager and Project Manager for specific materials/items based on the estimated listed items on the budget
Ensures creation of Detailed Budget is within approved parameters set in Initial Budget; assess the validity of the cost variance in terms of deviation from the original intent from Initial Budget.
Reviews and assess the detailed budgets provides Budget tracker to ensure timely schedule or within the specified schedule
Reviews and analysis of “Request for Budget Movement” for correctness prior to Budget Head’s recommending approval
Prepares actual cost performance of completed projects in comparison with the established KPI (eg. Cost per sq.m, Cost per TR, Cost per KW, Cost per KVA, ratio of concrete to BUA, ratio of rebar [kg] to concrete [cu.m])
Evaluates actual cost accomplishment versus approved contract/budget
Updates of Parametric Costs yearly (for New Mall Development, Redevelopment and Improvements)
Identifies the potential project and contract risks/issues and recommends possible solutions
Understands the process and utilizes the standard techniques and tools in risk identification and analysis
Validates the SAP Budget Report vs the physical Approved Budget
Reviews and analyze the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) form submitted by other groups/teams in conformance to Approved Budget, re-align as necessary
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
Professional license relevant to the field
Preferably with 2 years related experience
Knowledgeable in Basic Construction
Willing to be assigned at MOA, Pasay
