Power Dimension, Inc. seeks a Cost Engineer to monitor, control, and align project costs with approved budgets, ensuring financial discipline through the project lifecycle.
You will validate budgets, realign as needed, forecast costs, and optimize spending. Responsibilities include establishing CBS with WBS, ensuring proper cost coding, tracking variances, and coordinating with Project Managers and the Tendering Division for budget approvals and revisions.
The Cost Engineer is responsible for monitoring, controlling, and aligning project costs with approved budgets, ensuring financial discipline throughout the project lifecycle. This includes budget validation, realignment, forecasting, and cost optimization.
Establish and maintain cost breakdown structures (CBS) aligned with WBS.
Validate approved budgets against the project scope and execution plan.
Ensure proper cost coding and allocation across project components.
Ensure continuous alignment of project costs with the approved budget.
Perform budget realignment based on approved changes, design development, and project conditions.
Recommend budget adjustments to reflect realistic execution scenarios.
Track and manage budget transfers, reallocations, and contingency usage.
Coordinate with the Project Manager and Tendering Division for budget approvals and revisions.
Track actual costs vs. budget and commitments.
Monitor expenditures, accruals, and cost allocations.
Maintain cost control systems and tools.
Ensure cost discipline across all project phases.
Prepare cost forecasts (Estimate at Completion).
Identify cost trends, risks, and opportunities.
Analyze deviations between planned, actual, and forecasted costs.
Provide root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Highlight risks requiring budget realignment.
Evaluate the cost impact of variation orders and claims.
Maintain change logs and ensure budget adjustments are captured.
Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction teams.
Support Project Managers with financial insights and budget strategies.
Liaise with Finance for cost reconciliation and reporting alignment.
Maintain accuracy of cost data in ERP or cost systems.
Ensure proper documentation and audit readiness.
Improve cost control processes and reporting tools.
Must be a graduate of Engineering courses (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Industrial Engineering).
Knowledgeable of Project Control Systems like ERP (Acumatica user is preferred but not required).
Must have at least a minimum of 3 years of work experience in cost engineering and project controls.
Experience in construction, engineering, and infrastructure projects preferred.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
Ability to do multitasking.
Willing to be assigned in QUEZON CITY.
Able to start immediately/ASAP.
