Job summary

ASEC Development and Construction Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented Cost Engineer to support project operations through cost monitoring, resource requests, documentation, and coordination with the Project Manager, Head Office, and project teams.

The role involves monitoring expenses, preparing cost reports, coordinating with the Quantity Surveyor on quantities, and maintaining project documentation. It is a full-time, on-site position at project sites.

Qualifications

• BS Civil Engineering degree required.
• Minimum 6 months of experience in cost control or related field.

Responsibilities

• Monitor project expenses, implement cost control measures, identify variances, prepare cost reports, and manage the project working fund.
• Prepare and process accurate material and resource requests; review project budget and inventory with Quantity Surveyor on required quantities.
• Coordinate cost-related concerns with the Project Manager, Head Office, and other departments; assist in cost claims preparation and monitoring.
• Maintain and organize project documents, reports, and records; ensure filing, routing, distribution and compliance with documentation procedures.
• Perform general clerical duties, manage office supplies and documents, handle correspondence and phone calls, and provide administrative support to the project team.
