Responsibilities
- Determine and establish approved quantity and cost estimate targets for land development and housing, including labor, subcontracts, materials, equipment, services, and facilities, as the baseline for monitoring and measuring project performance.
- Track actual costs relative to the budget and prepare regular reports to ensure expenses remain within projections.
- Monitor changes to project design and/or construction work and advise on cost implications.
- Explore and recommend cost reduction opportunities through cost analysis and reviews.
- Review and evaluate proposals from consultants, suppliers, and contractors, and prepare recommendations for approval.
- Manage the cascading of awarded bids, bid documents, bid references (suppliers), project details, key plans, and scope of work to the Construction Management Group.
- Maintain contract and cost control documents including short-form agreements, requests for proposals, and Definitive Office Estimates (DOE).
Qualifications
- Bachelor�s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent coursework; licensed Civil Engineer is an advantage but not required.
- At least 1�3 years of proven work experience as a Cost Engineer or in a similar role.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project management tools.
- Able to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
