Job summary

Private Advertiser in Calauan, Laguna is seeking a detail‑oriented Cost Accountant to own inventory accounting, production costing, and inventory control for our dairy operation. This on‑site role requires hands‑on stock verification and ownership of tightening controls around accuracy and loss prevention.

You will report to the Accounting Manager and handle day‑to‑day costing and inventory output with integrity and stewardship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in cost or inventory accounting; manufacturing or farm experience preferred.
• SAP experience in inventory/MM module preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Own inventory accounting and physical inventory control, including counts and variance investigation.
• Calculate and record production costs, COGM/COGS, and cost variances for the dairy operation.
• Strengthen inventory controls to prevent loss or theft with documented approvals for adjustments.
• Prepare recurring farm and production reports on a fixed schedule.
• Process SAP inventory transactions and support audits with complete documentation.
• Report suspected theft, fraud, or irregularity to Top Management when needed.

About the role

The Company is looking for a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to own inventory accounting, production costing, and inventory control for our dairy manufacturing operation. This is a hands-on, on-site role for someone who is comfortable physically verifying stock personally, not just reviewing numbers on a screen, and who takes ownership of tightening controls around inventory accuracy and loss prevention. You will report to the Accounting Manager, who reviews your costing and inventory output, while owning the day-to-day cost and inventory function yourself. Given the trust this role requires, integrity and a track record of handling company assets responsibly matter as much as technical skill.

Key responsibilities

• Own inventory accounting and physical inventory control, including scheduled and unannounced counts, cycle counts, and variance investigation.
• Calculate and record production costs, cost of goods manufactured/sold, and cost variances for our dairy operation.
• Strengthen inventory controls to prevent and detect loss or theft, including segregation of duties and documented approval thresholds for adjustments.
• Prepare recurring farm and production reports (feeds, fuel, milk production, cost variance) on a fixed schedule.
• Process SAP inventory transactions (goods issue/receipt) and support monthly and annual audits with complete documentation.
• Report any suspected theft, fraud, or irregularity immediately, with a direct line to Top Management if needed.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in cost accounting, inventory accounting, or a similar role; manufacturing or farm-based experience strongly preferred.
• SAP experience strongly preferred (inventory/MM module).
• Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel proficiency.
• Comfortable performing hands-on physical counts and spot checks personally, not just desk-based reconciliation.
• High attention to detail and strong documentation habits.
• Based on-site in Calauan, Laguna.
