Job summary

Salmon Group in Manila, Philippines is seeking a senior Finance/Accounting Project Manager to translate accounting needs, regulatory obligations, and product-administration realities into system requirements for the core banking platform. This role anchors the Finance voice across vendor selection, design, and rollout.

You'll lead end-to-end planning, data-migration validation, and month-end close integration with the GL, while driving automation initiatives and IPO-readiness work where

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in finance/accounting project management.
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and the close process.
• Proven automation experience — led or driven process-automation initiatives, with practical ERP experience for accounting automation.
• Strong IT literacy, able to bridge Finance and IT/Engineering without a translator.
• Solid project-management discipline: scoping, milestones, risk management, stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Finance side of the core banking system project end-to-end: scope, milestones, dependencies, and risk tracking; act as Finance's voice across vendor selection, design, and rollout.
• Run UAT, data-migration validation, and cutover planning from the Finance side, coordinating with IT/Engineering and vendors.
• Identify regulatory gaps tied to system limitations and keep Finance leadership informed on progress, risk, and dependencies.
• Turn accounting needs and regulatory obligations into concrete system requirements and manage delivery against them.
• Drive the accounting-backlog remediation plan with milestones and cross-functional involvement.
