Job summary

Bal Raksha Bharat is seeking a Coordinator – Hub and Spoke Grade H to drive the hub-and-spoke model across partner schools. You will coordinate with hub and spoke centers, plan visits, align schedules, and engage government and school stakeholders for scale-up.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with the project team, Hub schools, Spoke schools and stakeholders for smooth implementation.
  • Identify Spoke schools, confirm visit dates, and facilitate school visits.

Health & Nutrition, Education, Child Protection and Livelihood & Economic Wellbeing.

Project Brief:

The Toyota Elementary School Project will be implemented in 4 schools in Ramanagara

district. The project focuses on behavioural assessment and implementation of the

Toyota Elementary Curriculum, including rule adherence, road-safety simulated

learning, foundational literacy and numeracy activities, team-building, morning exercise

and waste segregation. The project also includes a Hub-and-Spoke model, where 10

Hub schools will support outreach to surrounding Spoke schools.

Role Purpose:

The Project Coordinator will provide coordination support for the Toyota Elementary

School Project and drive the Hub-and-Spoke model. The role will coordinate the 10

Hub schools and surrounding Spoke schools, facilitate school visits, confirm schedules,

coordinate stakeholders and support scale-up and implementation in interested

schools.

Role and responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with the project team, Hub schools, Spoke schools and relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation.
  • Identify Spoke schools from the confirmed list, coordinate with schools, confirm visit dates and facilitate school visits.
  • Support the project team in engaging interested schools around the Hub schools and facilitate the scale-up process through the Hub-and-Spoke model.
  • Coordinate school visits, including confirmation of participating schools, visit schedules, transportation requirements and documentation.
  • Ensure that the required visit confirmation documents and school-level information are maintained and submitted on time.
  • Coordinate implementation of the agreed elementary activities in Spoke schools with support from Toyota/TKM volunteers and project staff.
  • Support orientation and awareness of school stakeholders on the project objectives, activities and expected outcomes.
  • Track progress of Hub and Spoke school activities and follow up on pending actions with the concerned stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with Government and school stakeholders as required for implementation and scale-up.
  • Maintain regular communication with Head Teachers, teachers and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly work plans, progress updates, visit reports and other required documentation.
  • Support monitoring, data collection, documentation and reporting of project outcomes.
  • Undertake any additional project-related responsibilities assigned by the Project Manager.

  • Timely completion and quality of Hub-and-Spoke school coordination activities.
  • Number and quality of school visits and confirmed implementation schedules.
  • Effective conversion of identified/interested schools into participating schools as per project targets.
  • Quality and timeliness of school visit documentation and progress reports.
  • Effective stakeholder coordination and follow-up.
  • Planning, communication, networking, problem-solving and time management skills.

Experience

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in teaching, academic facilitation, education programmes, school/community-based work or child-focused programmes. Experience working with schools and children is preferred.

Essential

Qualification

Bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognized university or college is essential. Weightage will be given to candidates with MA/MSW/any Post graduation and experience related to women candidate/or anyone having sound knowledge on Child Protection & Community mobilization.
